Racist Gov Drinks Chocolate Milk To Prove He’s Not A Bigot At Black History Event

In an attempt to prove that he’s pro-diversity, Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner drank a glass of chocolate milk. First a Hyatt Hotel executive held up a glass of milk, and then added chocolate syrup. Rauer gave a thumbs up after the ridiculous display.

On Wednesday Gov. Bruce Rauner made another in a series of poor decisions since he was elected governor of Illinois. He participating in a Black History Month event in which Tyronne Stoudemire, Hyatt Hotels executive, explained the importance of diversity with a glass of milk and some chocolate syrup. Rauner then drank the chocolate milk in a show of pro-diversity. But the analogy, along with his decision to participate, is not helping Rauner’s reputation or gaining him any supporters.

Thompson explained that the milk represented the majority of organizations, which are headed by white males.

‘This chocolate syrup represents diversity. When you look at most organizations, diversity sits at the bottom of the organization. You don’t get inclusion until you actually stir it up. Diversity is the mix, and inclusion is making the mix work.’

After drinking the chocolate milk, Rauner explained:

‘It’s really really good. Diversity!’

The Illinois Governor, who is up for reelection this November, has a long history of failing to speak up in the face of racism. He’s declined to to denounce a political cartoon, despite the fact that he received numerous complains that it was racist. He took his time to come out call out Charlottesville, Va. protests what they were, domestic terrorism involving white supremacists. Rauner has also hesitated to call David Duke, former leader of Ku Klux Klan, a racist.

With his precarious position in the polls, one would expect it to be very easy to avoid being labeled a racist by not adding to the list of questionable things he does and says, by not giving a diversity demonstration that ends with him drinking chocolate milk, followed by a thumbs up.

One Twitter user, who attended the event shared their account of what took place.
