We all know of President Trump’s fixation on large things. The biggest. Whether it’s a wall, one of his buildings, or any other object he’s obsessing over, it seems like Trump just can’t help himself when it comes to proving he has the biggest thing or will build the biggest thing.
His most recent harebrained idea, a giant military parade as a show of America’s strength, is laughable. Democrats were quick to point out the irony of a draft-dodger throwing a parade to honor the military he refused to serve in.
Rep. Adam Smith, the top Democrat on House Armed Services Committee, says Trump’s possible military parade is “authoritarian."
"The military is not President Trump's personal toy set.”

#Trump has demanded a Military Parade in his honour.

I hope everyone that listens to this insane Fascist Trump should be totally disgusted with him calling Democrats Treasonous and NonAmericans. That goes to all Democrats and caring Republicans. VOTE DEMOCRAT in 2018! https://t.co/3IQQzuwaHO

Perspective: I’m an Iraq War veteran. The military doesn’t want or need Trump’s parade. https://t.co/CBqlD09hh6

And now, even Trump’s own party is openly mocking his childish parade. Today, Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) unleashed on Trump:
Sen. John Kennedy on Pres. Trump's proposed military parade: "I don't think it's a particularly good idea. Confidence is silent. Insecurities are loud." https://t.co/pcAA0fj2hD pic.twitter.com/Vs6qnq4f42

‘I don’t think it’s a particularly good idea. Confidence is silent. Insecurities are loud. When you’re the most powerful nation in all of human history, you don’t have to show it off.’
And Kennedy didn’t stop there. He called Trump’s parade out, mentioning that show-off parades are things that:
‘Russia does, and North Korea, China. We are the most powerful nation in all of human history. Everyone knows that and there’s no need to broadcast it.’
This analysis from Bill Kristol hits the nail on the head.

Despite his lavish lifestyle, the parade of increasingly younger wives, the “adoration” of beautiful models, and the insistence that he is the best, Donald Trump is still just an insecure and immature man. He thinks that if people stand and applaud him, if he throws parades and says things like this:
Sorry losers and haters, but my I.Q. is one of the highest -and you all know it! Please don't feel so stupid or insecure,it's not your fault

I am the BEST builder, just look at what I've built. Hillary can't build. Republican candidates can't build. They don't have a clue!

I am attracting the biggest crowds, by far, and the best poll numbers, also by far. Much of the media is totally dishonest. So sad!

If I run, I will be in all the primary debates and you will see why I am the only one who can Make America Great Again!

…he will gain the respect he so desperately craves. But it looks like the world knows exactly what Donald Trump has to offer.
A German newspaper published this harsh rebuke of Trump:
‘Through his own lack of success, the populist dazzler could be effectively debunked. Stated differently, Trump must become smaller. Only then can America eventually become great again.
